How is a solar system sized?
We never size a system from inverter capacity alone. We assess your actual load, peak demand, daily energy consumption, critical loads, the backup duration you need, the solar resource at your site and any plans to expand. The system is then designed around those numbers.
Can solar run air conditioners?
Yes, when the system is designed for it. Air conditioners are large loads, so the inverter, solar array and batteries have to be sized for their power draw and running hours. Bite Home Pro and Bite Business systems are typically designed with loads like these in mind, and your assessment confirms what is practical.
How long will the battery last?
Backup time depends on how much energy is stored and how much power you draw, so we size storage to the backup duration you need, for example keeping essential loads running overnight. Battery service life depends on the battery type, how deeply it is cycled and operating conditions; your proposal explains what to expect from the specific battery selected.
Can it work with the grid or a generator?
Yes. Hybrid systems can work alongside the grid and, where required, a generator, so you can combine sources. How the system switches between them is part of the design for your site.
Can I expand later?
Yes, where the system is designed for it. We plan for future expansion during the assessment, and Bite Home Pro uses an expandable system architecture. Tell us about likely future loads so we can allow for them.
How much does a system cost?
It depends on your load, backup requirement, site conditions and the equipment selected, so we don't publish fixed prices that could mislead. After an energy assessment and site survey you receive a clear proposal for your specific system.
How long does installation take?
It depends on the size of the system and the site. Your proposal includes the expected installation timeline, and we keep you informed through installation, testing and commissioning.
What maintenance is required?
Solar systems need relatively little routine maintenance, but periodic inspection, panel cleaning, and checks of connections, protection and battery health keep them performing. Bite Care covers maintenance, monitoring where supported, upgrades and after-sales support.
What warranty applies?
Warranty terms depend on the equipment and services supplied. Your proposal explains the terms for your system, and you receive warranty documentation at handover.
Do you serve customers outside Kampala?
Yes. We are based in Nansana and work on sites across Uganda, including projects outside Kampala such as DOHO Farmers SACCO in Butareja district. Share your location in the assessment form and we will confirm the next steps.
